This elegant Mercedes-Benz 230S tail fin limousine was ordered by Frankie L. Kraus from Houston/Texas/USA at the end of 1967 and first delivered to him on 06.03.1968. Unfortunately his state of health had worsened so much that he was no longer able to drive the car. He did not want to part with his dream car and kept it until his death in spring 1985.
His sister Leo Jeck from Humboldt in Kansas inherited the car and took it home in May 1985. Due to lack of space, Mr. and Mrs. Jeck decided to hand the car over to other good hands. So the sales and marketing expert Stephen B. Ranz bought it on August 9, 1985 from the neighbouring village Chanute in Kansas/USA. The car was complete with logbooks, tools and the spare wheel, which had never been used before. After careful preparation with high-quality care products, the car shone in such splendour that he spontaneously decided to present the car at a car show. He got the 1st place at this and a following show.
From then on the car was well protected and only taken out of its garage for washing or service. In June 2014, he sold the car to Eugene and Kimberly Baker from the quiet little town of Somis in sunny California. According to a letter of confirmation from the Department of Revenue, Division of Vehicles in Topeka, Kansas/USA, the original mileage was 11,489. A dream car with sensationally low original mileage in an original condition that is second to none.
